Productos Alexander was founded in 1978 in Ecuador as a small family business committed to creating traditional Ecuadorian snacks. Founded by Rosa Sotomayor Martínez and Fernando Torres Delgado, the brand was inspired by the artisanal cuisine of the era, where natural ingredients and homemade methods were at the heart of each preparation. What began with small batches of handmade potato chips, peanuts, and fava beans grew thanks to the preference of consumers who valued authenticity, flavor, and consistent quality.
Since its inception, Productos Alexander has focused on preserving the classic flavors of Ecuador, using endemic ingredients such as the Super Chola potato, Caramelo peanuts, dried fava beans, and Barraganete plantains, selected for their origin and contribution to food diversity. This philosophy has allowed it to build an emotional connection with its customers, positioning itself as a brand that represents not only products, but also culinary memories and family legacy.
Over time and in the face of market changes, the brand has managed to evolve without losing its essence. Today, together with TasteLink, Alexander Products promotes a production model that combines tradition and innovation, focusing on the development of sustainable gourmet products, the funding of scientific research, and the conservation of endangered agricultural varieties. Its vision transcends the boundaries of the present: to build a sustainable food offering that can adapt even to future challenges, such as space exploration and global food security.
