    Musa paradisiaca is the scientific name for the green plantain. In Ecuador, there are more than 500 varieties of plantains. Productos Alexander uses the "Barraganete" and "Dominico" varieties for snack production.

    Arachis hypogaea is the scientific name for peanuts. Ecuador has more than 40 varieties of peanuts. Productos Alexander uses the "Maní Caramelo" variety to produce snacks and peanut butter.
